Programme design begins with understanding on-the-job performance requirements, and laying down performance objectives. These objectives are then converted into learning objectives. Based on these objectives, camp-wise and session-wise objectives are defined. This helps the Learners to have clarity about what they have to be able to do by the end of each camp and each session.
The methodology includes lectures, tutorials, assignments, lab sessions and project work. Lectures are used to cover the key concepts.Tutorials are used for concept clarification through small group and individual discussions. Assignments are used to stimulate research and self-learning beyond what is covered in the classrooms. Lab sessions are used for active experimentation and implementation of the key concepts using pre-designed lab exercises. Project work simulates a real-life work scenario where the Learners will have to develop and test a whole application or a module of a large application following software engineering methodologies.

Soft-skills sessions help the Learners to develop themselves in areas such as communication and interpersonal effectiveness. Aptitude sessions cover areas such as quantitative skills and logical reasoning.
Evaluation of Learners is done through monitoring of attendance, review of assignments, concept tests, lab tests and viva-voce.These evaluation mechanisms help the Facilitators to constantly track the progress of each candidate, and provide necessary assistance at an individual level. Great deal of importance is given to feedback from the Learners for continuous improvement of the performance of Facilitators and the overall effectiveness of the Programme. |
